Winter Appeal 2026: warmth for 500 families
In the highland villages where our partners work, winter is not a season. It is a threat. Temperatures fall below −15°C, roads close, and families who have nothing left to sell face months without heat or reliable food.
This year we aim to reach 500 of the most vulnerable households — orphan-headed families, widows caring for young children, and families of children in our education programme — before the first heavy snow.
What a winter pack contains
- Two months' supply of flour, rice, oil, pulses and tea
- Fuel for heating and cooking
- Thick blankets and warm children's clothing
Each pack costs around £85 and is delivered by our local partner, who checks on the family again in January.
£85 keeps a family warm and fed for two months. Give what you can today — every gift is Zakat-eligible and Gift Aid can add 25%.
How you can help
Donate online, set up a bank transfer with the reference “WINTER”, or organise a collection at your workplace, school or mosque. We will send you a poster and updates to share.
Give a child dignity, safety and a future
From £10 a month you can keep an orphaned child fed, in school and cared for.
