Our work

Care, classrooms, meals and medicine.

Four programmes, one goal: children who are safe today and equipped for tomorrow.

Programme 01

Orphan care

An orphan in Afghanistan is often taken in by a grandmother, an uncle or an older sibling who is already struggling. Our orphan care programme gives those families a reliable monthly grant so the child can stay where they are loved, rather than in an institution.

  • Monthly grant covering food, clothing and school costs
  • Home visits by our local partner every quarter
  • Priority for female-headed households
  • Progress reports shared with sponsors twice a year

Programme 02

Education

Learning is the surest route out of poverty, and the first thing to be lost when a family is in crisis. We fund community classrooms, teacher stipends, books and uniforms so that children — girls included — can keep learning.

  • Community-based classes close to home
  • Qualified local teachers, paid on time
  • Books, stationery and uniforms for every enrolled child
  • Literacy and numeracy for children who have missed years of school

Programme 03

Food & nutrition

A hungry child cannot learn. Our food programme delivers monthly parcels of flour, rice, oil, pulses and tea to the most vulnerable families, and daily meals in the schools we support.

  • Monthly family food parcels
  • School meals in partner classrooms
  • Emergency winter distributions of food and fuel
  • Ramadan and Eid packages

Programme 04

Health & wellbeing

When a child falls ill, a family without income faces an impossible choice. We cover clinic visits and medicines, provide warm clothing and blankets for winter, and support counselling for children who have experienced loss and trauma.

  • Clinic fees and prescribed medicines
  • Winter clothing and blankets
  • Psychosocial support through trained local staff
  • Hygiene kits and health education

Accountability

How we make sure your money arrives

Vetted partners

Every local partner is checked, visited and bound by a written agreement covering safeguarding and finance.

Evidence for every grant

Receipts, beneficiary lists and photographs (with consent) are required before the next payment is released.

Reporting back

We publish annual accounts and send sponsors regular updates on the children they support.

Give a child dignity, safety and a future

From £10 a month you can keep an orphaned child fed, in school and cared for.
